The London Supply Group Foundation donated to the Bishopric of Puerto Iguazú a sanctuary that will bear the name of "Saint John Paul II", in the hope that the families of the Barrio 1ro de Mayo find support in the church and discover that faith in God is comforting and encouraging.

Barrio 1ro de Mayo is one of the neediest neighborhoods in Misiones Province, inhabited by about 2,000 families in extreme poverty.

On October 28, 2012, the cornerstone was placed that launched construction of the Parish, which is expected to be opened in 2020.

The site for this religious project is opposite the  Barrio 1º de Mayo Neighborhood Educational Park, a complex designed, built and donated to the Municipality of Puerto Iguazú by the Foundation. It consists of elementary school No. 875 “Dña. Mercedes Garcia Taratuty,” “Don José Taratuty” Bachillerato Orientado Nº 106, and “Mother Teresa of Calcutta” Maternal Garden, soon to be inaugurated.

The parochial building will be of the Parish – museum type. In addition to the spaces belonging to the parish, a thematic museum will be built in it dedicated to the life and work of John Paul II. Construction of an annex is also planned to provide accommodation to the nuns of the Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Congregation.

This project has the blessing of Pope Francis.
