After many efforts, constant work and some unexpected setbacks, the delivery of the keys to the new building built especially for the "Las Gaviotas" Provincial Experimental School in the city of Ushuaia, in the Province of Tierra del Fuego, was finally completed.

This work materializes the dream of an entire educational community that, since the creation of the School in 2003, has been forced to move through different borrowed locations, with the ever-present desire to obtain their own space in settling down.

Moved by the struggle of these parents and teachers to find a suitable place for the education and development of their children, in 2018 we decided to allocate the proceeds from the 14th edition of our Golf Tournament to the construction of the much-dreamed-of establishment, which It would take place on land in the Alakalufes II neighborhood, ceded by the Municipality of Ushuaia.

Thanks to the joint work with the State, at the beginning of this year we were able to conclude the works: an establishment with multiple differentiated spaces that facilitate the implementation of the innovative pedagogical modality of "Las Gaviotas", which follows the guidelines proposed by the Institute of Higher Education "Roberto Themis Speroni" of Buenos Aires.

However, a few days before the inauguration, the start of the social, preventive and mandatory isolation paralyzed our plans. Today, almost three months later, we were finally able to hand over the keys, so that the director and teaching staff, abiding by all the precautions and protocols in force, begin to move the equipment and furniture from the School to the new establishment.

We are extremely pleased to know that, when classes can resume, the classrooms will be ready to receive the 130 students who are eagerly awaiting to discover their new School.
