The 1st edition of the “Super Healthy Teeth” dental campaign was carried out in the Barrio 1° de Mayo Educational Park in Puerto Iguazú.
Organized by the London Supply Group Foundation and with the support of the Ministry of Health of the province of Misiones, the initiative included the participation of a team of thirteen dentists from various locations in said province and Buenos Aires, who, led by the od. Paula Guz, carried out a survey of the teeth of the 1,500 students who attend the three institutions that make up the educational complex.
This evaluation, based on an index created by Paula Guz herself, allowed the creation of a record of the general oral health status of the school community that will lay the foundations for future actions.
The campaign also included brushing and dental hygiene workshops; caries prevention treatments through the application of fluoride to all students; and intervention tasks, through restoration techniques, in cases of greatest need. Additionally, each child received a toothbrush to strengthen the habit of daily brushing.
On the other hand, the opportunity was taken to carry out pediatric follow-up of 40 children whose diagnoses in the “Super Healthy" carried out in the month of May required specific treatment.
