The opening of the Elderly Nursing Home San Ramón took place last Saturday 26 May during a moving event attended by the Governor of the province of Misiones, Hugo Passalacqua; the Bishop of Puerto Iguazú, Monsignor Marcelo Martorell; the Major of the Municipality of Puerto Iguazú, Claudio Filippa, the Deputy Governor of Misiones, Oscar Herrera Ahuad; Sister Josefa Falcón, member of the Congregation “Siervas del Espíritu Santo”, in charge of the administration of the Elderly Nursing Home since its origins. On behalf of the London Supply Group Foundation, it was attended by Teddy Taratuty, President of the London Supply Group Foundation and its Director, María Taratuty.
The donation was founded by the amounts raised during the penultimate Edition of the Golf Tournament for charity “London Supply Cup”. This new contribution of the Foundation to the Province of Misiones included improving the condition of the current building that was deteriorated as well as the construction of a Day Care Home aimed at hosting more than 150 elders in Puerto Iguazú that are in need of support, company and receiving food during the day.

Teddy highlighted the importance of supporting elders: “This is an alternative for the ones that without cognitive, physical and social stimulation can find in this institution what they need on a daily basis. Dear elders, those present and future guests: The purpose of this is to help you improve the quality of your lives”.

On the other hand, Governor Hugo Passalacqua made reference to all of the works for charity conducted by the London Supply Group Foundation in this city: “It is an example, a reference, what they do is not common, it’s going the extra mile. Some people have material needs while some others have the need to help, assist, give more and spend their time making others happy”.

The Day Care Home is part of a construction of 1,165m² in a privileged area overlooking Paraná River. Moreover, the building has got living rooms with tables to play games, chill out rooms, gym, dining room and kitchen. The building has also got medical rooms, first-aid rooms, rehabilitation rooms, administrative offices, laundry and a restroom area equipped and adapted to fit the needs of the elders.
