Throughout September of 2019, we conducted the Dientes Supersanitos Campaign ("Super-healthy Teeth") in the Educational Park Barrio 1° de Mayo in Puerto Iguazú. This was our first dental care campaign and was designed based on the needs identified in previous Supersanitos.

Organized by the London Supply Group Foundation and with the support of the Ministry of Health of the province of Misiones, the initiative included the participation of a team of thirteen dentists from different towns in Misiones and Buenos Aires, who were led by Doctor Paula Guz. They examined the teeth of the 1500 students who attend the three institutions that make up the educational complex.

This assessment, based on an index created by Dr. Guz herself, allowed us to create a register of the general oral health within the school community, which will be the foundation for future actions.

The campaign also included workshops to learn about tooth brushing and correct dental hygiene, treatments to prevent cavities through the application of fluoride for all students, and interventions, through restoration techniques, in the most severe cases. Additionally, every child received a toothbrush to strengthen the habit of daily brushing.

At the same time, we took the opportunity to conduct a pediatric follow up for 40 children who were diagnosed in May during Supersanitos and required specific treatment.
