Last Thursday 9 August, in the office of the Governor of the Province of Tierra de Fuego, Rosana Bertone, took place the announcement and execution of the corresponding contracts for the commencement of the works in the Experimental Provincial School “Las Gaviotas”. The event was attended by the President of the London Supply Group Foundation, Teddy Taratuty; his daughter, María, Director of the Foundation; provincial officers and also Headmasters, Teachers and parents of the school.

The London Supply Group Foundation donated the proceedings of the last edition of the Golf Tournament for Charity London Supply Cup that takes place annually in Punta del Este, Uruguay, to the construction of a building for this school in the city of Ushuaia.

The Experimental Provincial School “Las Gaviotas” originated in 2003 with an innovative pedagogical program, fostered by High School “Roberto Themis Speroni” of Buenos Aires. This program consists of encouraging reasoning based on understanding rather than on memory and it fosters arts, proactive learning and teamwork.

Since its origins the school had to move to different locations so this donation offered by the London Supply Group results in the possibility of settling in an establishment that will consist of different areas where children will be fully motivated.
