The London Supply Group Foundation won the award to the best NGO of the year on account of the “SUPERSANITOS” (super healthy) Campaign. The award was granted by the “RSC – Communicative Social Responsibility”, entity with a longstanding experience in charge of organizing social responsibility distinctions within the framework of its “14th edition of the Annual Communicative Social Responsibility distinctions on sustainability + solidarity + Communication.” The event took place in one of the meeting rooms of the Bureau of Notary Publics and was attended by several remarkable companies as well as NGOs nominated on account of their diverse works carried out throughout the year. Supersanitos was initially selected among other 408 cases of which 60 were preselected competing in different areas with companies and NGOs such as Sancor Seguros, Mc Donald’s, Aeropuertos Argentina 2000, Honda, Kimberly-Clark, Whirpool, Bagó, Carrefour, Eukanuba, HSBC, among others.

Supersanitos campaign included paediatric, ophthalmologic and otorhinolaryngology examinations together with the control of the vaccination scheme and their corresponding applications. This action took 3 days without closing the Nursery School “Madre Teresa de Calcuta” and a total of 243 children between 45 days and 4 years were examined. It is worth highlighting that 50 of these children do not attend the Nursery School but went to the doctor for an examination as suggested by Supersanitos to ask all the paediatric doubts of the people in the Neighbourhood. On the other hand, the Foundation implemented a software tailored for the campaign in which the medical history of each patient was entered. The information entered in the system will help to dully follow the development of each child and it also enables the possibility to migrate data to any possible future provincial or national software. Unfortunately, many pathologies that need treatment or special follow up were identified, but thanks to this early detection we are already working on each case, separately.
